Default Configuration

The SNTP client is disabled on an interface.

Command Mode

Interface configuration (Ethernet, port-channel, VLAN) mode

User Guidelines

Use the 

sntp broadcast client enable

 Global Configuration mode command to enable 

broadcast clients globally.

•

Use the 

sntp anycast client enable

 Global Configuration mode command to enable anycast 

clients globally.

Examples

The following example enables the SNTP client on Ethernet port 1/e3.

 Global Configuration mode command enables the device to use 

the Simple Network Time Protocol (SNTP) to request and accept SNTP traffic from servers. To 
disable requesting and accepting SNTP traffic from servers, use the
