For each supplementary test condition enabled by the user in the test setup, ES601
Plus
measures all
combinations of the supplementary condition with the AC supply conditions specified in the safety
standard. ES601
Plus
then records the AC and DC leakage results for the supplementary condition
that produced the highest leakage. The supplementary condition producing the worst case is also
recorded and appears in parentheses in the Test Record report.
If the user chose to set up the test so certain conditions were disabled, then AC and DC
measurement results for the disabled tests appear in the Record as "-----". For conditions pertaining
to the AC supply (SF:L2O, SF:EO), "-----" results indicate the user may have inadvertently forgotten
to enable the test. This may prompt the user to repeat the test with the correct conditions.
For all safety standards except IEC61010, patient leakage results will follow enclosure leakage results
if the user has enabled testing of applied parts. One page is provided for each functional group of
applied parts, as configured by the user in the test setup (see example below).
For the IEC60601 safety standard, the patient leads of a "Type CF" group are tested individually in
turn. On the patient leakage page, in the "AP" column ES601
Plus
shows the patient connection that
produced the highest leakage for the given NC or SF test condition. For "Type B" and "Type BF"
groups, or for testing of any "Type" done under the IEC62353 safety standard, the leads are tested
collectively and so "--" will appear in the "AP" column of the patient leakage results.
In addition to patient leakage, IEC60601 and AAMI-ES1 standards also specify auxiliary (lead-to-
lead) leakage tests. If this test was enabled by the user, patient leakage results will be followed by the
