3.6 Safety AutoSequence Editor

Plus
can be programmed to automatically perform the measurements which comprise a complete test
of electrical safety. In an automated test or " AutoSequence ", the measurements are performed in a continuous
sequence, one after the other. According to the user's programming, the sequence can be optionally broken
at specific steps to allow operation of the DUT or changes in electrical connections. AutoSequences can
save a significant amount of time when testing complicated equipment with multiple applied parts, such as
patient monitors.
ES601
Plus
provides memory for storage of 24 user-programmable Safety AutoSequences. These sequences
can be programmed by means of the Safety AutoSequence module of the ES601pc software package
included with ES601
Plus
(see Chapter 8). Alternatively, the sequences can be programmed using the
operator interface of ES601
Plus
as described in this section. Note that figures appearing in this section
illustrate example settings only; the specific appearance of menus on your ES601
Plus
will depend on how
your instrument may have been programmed previously.
The AutoSequence programmer is entered from System Settings Menu #1, via the
EDIT SAFETY
button
(see Section 3.2). A menu will then be displayed allowing the user to select an AutoSequence for editing:
On the selector menu, use
PREVIOUS
and
NEXT
buttons to view the four menu screens provided. When
the desired AutoSequence appears on the screen, press the button to the left of the title to view the editor
main menu:
