The final setup menu displayed before the test actually starts shows the Sequence Controls of the
AutoSequence. These settings are described in more detail in Sections 3.3, 5.9 and 5.10 of this
manual. Any changes made to these settings are retained for the duration of the test, and revert to
the values stored in memory upon test completion. This includes the
OFFSET
calibration shown on
this display, which pertains to point-to-point resistance measurement in the protective earth test.
Note also for an AutoSequence the "PAUSE AFTER..." control will introduce a delay following
every measurement of the sequence, not only the leakage measurements.
The
NEXT
button of the Sequence Controls menu launches the safety test. As the test sequence
progresses, the display of ES601
Plus
provides user prompts and instructions as necessary, and
reflects real-time information about the tests performed. This includes the type of test currently
being executed within the sequence (line voltage, protective earth, leakage current, etc.), the safety
standard used, AC supply status, the measured value(s), the pass/fail limits, and the pass/fail
assessment of the measurement result. Depending on "STOP AFTER..." and "STOP BEFORE..."
settings of the Sequence Control setup, ES601
Plus
may stop at selected steps in the sequence and
prompt you to operate the power switch of the DUT. These "BREAK" prompts are described in
Section 5.10.
The order of measurements in the sequence is set by ES601
Plus
, but the enabling of the
measurements is defined by the user through the AutoSequence programming. The table following
lists the order of the measurements and the corresponding status of the AC supply to the DUT.
