6.1.4 Test Procedures

A Test Procedure can integrate visual inspection, safety testing, ECG testing, and performance
testing activities into one comprehensive procedure targeted at a specific kind of medical device, for
example, a patient monitor, defibrillator, anaesthesia gas machine, infusion pump, etc. The flash
memory of ES601

Plus

provides storage of up to 500 Test Procedures.

The Test Procedure Editor is supplied as an optional part of the ES601pc software package.
Provided ES601

Plus

has the Test Procedure accessory option installed, the Test Procedure Editor

of ES601pc will allow the user to program ES601

Plus

with Test Procedures. The Test Procedure

Editor of ES601pc is described in Chapter 8. ES601

Plus

menus associated with selecting and

running Test Procedures created by the Test Procedure Editor are discussed below.

If the optional accessory feature associated with Test Procedures has not been installed in
ES601

Plus

, this will be indicated on the main menu for AUTOSEQUENCE MODE as "(NOT

INSTALLED)". In this case, the Test Procedure menu will not be selectable. Otherwise, selecting

TEST PROCEDURES

from the AUTOSEQUENCE MODE menu opens the Test Procedures

menu.
