(1) oil Dipstick
(a) upper limit (B) lower limit
5. pull out the oil dipstick, clean it, and
then insert it into its original posi-
tion. pull it out again and check if
the oil level is within the specified
range.
6. if the oil level is too low, add some
new oil so that the level is within
the allowable range. (refer to
"replacing transmission fluid and
filter" in this chapter for fluid specs.

If oil level is low, do not run
engine.

Never add the oil over the up -
per limit.

Be sure to check the oil level
after installing hydraulic imple -
ment. Add the fluid as needed.

Check the oil level with the
cylinders of an implement ex -
tended and check again with
cylinders retracted. Add the oil
to adjust average oil level in
the range of the oil limit (upper
or lower).
IMPORTANT
(1) oil Dipstick
(a) oil level is acceptable within this range
ChECkING ENGINE OIl lEVEl (E)
1. check the engine oil daily.
2. park the tractor on level ground
and lower the implement.
3. if the engine was just running,
wait for approx. 5 minutes before
checking the oil level.
To avoid personal injury:
Be sure to stop the engine be -
fore checking the oil level.
