3C.7.6 AEC Calibration

3C.7.7 Tube Calibration
Before beginning tube auto calibration, the tube used in this installation must be properly selected, and the generator limits should be
programmed, as described earlier in this chapter.
It is recommended that the tube be conditioned (seasoned) during tube auto calibration, particularly if the tube has not been used for
some time. Refer to chapter 6.

THE FOLLOWING PROCEDURES PRODUCE X-RAYS. TAKE ALL SAFETY PRECAUTIONS TO PROTECT PERSONNEL FROM
X-RADIATION.
CAUTION:
ALWAYS VERIFY THE MANUFACTURER OF THE TUBE INSERT. IF THE X-RAY TUBE HAS BEEN REBUILT, THE TUBE
INSERT AND TUBE HOUSING MAY BE FROM DIFFERENT MANUFACTURERS.
