3. Setting the duration of the signal tone for when the ‘intern scharf’ (internal arm)
button is pressed
If you switch from the ‘disarmed’ state to the ‘internally armed’ state or vice versa, a signal tone
confirms the switch (this applies when the button is pressed on the alarm base station or remote
control).
The duration of this tone is factory set to 1.0 seconds, however, you can set it to a value between
0 and 5 seconds in increments of 0.2 seconds (200ms).
It can make sense to set the duration to ‘0 seconds’, if the alarm base station is armed
in the evening and sleeping children are not to be woken up by the signal tone.
To set the signal tone, proceed as follows:
• You must be on the main level. The LCD should appear as on the right,
for example, with the time and the date.
• Briefly press the ‘
Menü a/A
’ button on the control unit of the ‘FAZ 3000-
Z’ alarm base station.
• Use the ‘ ’ and ‘ ’ buttons to select the ‘

arming confirmation’). See the figure on the right.
• Confirm your selection by briefly pressing the ‘

’ button.
The signal duration that is currently set appears on the LCD (factory set
to 1.0 seconds).
• Use the ‘ ’ and ‘ ’ buttons to select the required signal duration. You
can set this to a value between 0 and 5 seconds (in increments of 0.2
seconds). To make a quick setting, keep the ‘ ’ or ‘ ’ button pressed
for a few seconds.
• Pressing the ‘
OK
’ button applies the setting.
• Exit the menu by pressing the ‘
C
’ button twice. This returns you to the
normal display mode (main level).
