5. Programming an access code for ‘internally armed’
To prevent the alarm system from being switched to ‘internally armed’ or from ‘internally armed’
to ‘disarmed’ by unauthorised persons, an access code can be programmed for the state change.
This access code is only valid for the buttons on the base station itself (not
for a remote control) and is requested after a button is pressed.
The state is only changed after you have entered the correct code. If
switching back and forth takes place within a few seconds, the code is
not requested again.
Make a note of the code and keep it in a safe place.
You can deactivate the access code by entering ‘0000’ as the code.
The access code for ‘internally armed’ is programmed as follows:
• You must be on the main level. The LCD should appear as on the right,
for example, with the time and the date.
• Briefly press the ‘
Menü a/A
’ button on the control unit of the ‘FAZ 3000-
Z’ alarm base station.
• Use the ‘ ’ and ‘ ’ buttons to select the ‘

• Confirm your selection by briefly pressing the ‘

• Confirm your selection by briefly pressing the ‘

’ button.
• You can now use the number buttons to enter any four-digit code, for
example ‘1234’ or ‘9876’ and so on.
You can use the ‘
C
’ button to correct any incorrect entry you have
made.
If you want to switch off the access code (no code request for
‘internally armed’), enter ‘0000’ as the code.
• Pressing the ‘
OK
’ button applies the setting.
• Exit the menu by pressing the ‘
C
’ button twice. This returns you to the
normal display mode (main level).
