2. DCF setup (on/off), reception check

Please note:
This function or the respective ‘DCF-setup’ menu item is only available when a DCF
receiver is connected.
An external ‘FAZ 3000-DCF’ DCF receiver can be connected to the ‘FAZ 3000-Z’ alarm base station
(not supplied but must be ordered separately). This allows the ‘FAZ 3000-Z’s internal clock and
date to be set automatically and accurately.
Once connected, the DCF receiver is automatically recognised (see section 9. a), page 25), activated
and analysed (it can take a few minutes for the DCF time/date to be set!).
You can switch the DCF receiver on or off via the ‘DCF-setup’ menu. You can also check whether
a synchronisation has taken place (reception check).
• You must be on the main level. The LCD should appear as on the right,
for example, with the time and the date.
• Briefly press the ‘ Menü a/A ’ button on the operating unit of the ‘FAZ
3000-Z’ alarm base station.
• Use the ‘ ’ and ‘ ’ buttons to select the ‘

been received correctly and the time and the date are automatically set
per DCF. A blinking square on the upper line indicates a received DCF
signal.
• The DCF receiver can be switched on or off using the ‘ ’ and ‘ ’ buttons.

(once switched on, DCF signal is searched for, it
must be re-synchronised first!)

• Pressing the ‘ OK ’ button applies the setting.
• Exit the menu by pressing the ‘ C ’ button twice. This returns you to the
normal display mode (main level).
