3. Setting the duration for the external flash
The duration for the external flash (controlled via the ‘FAZ-SI’) is factory set to 20 minutes, however,
you can adjust this to a time between 1 and 100 minutes.
To set the duration for the external flash, proceed as follows:
• You must be on the main level. The LCD should appear as on the right,
for example, with the time and the date.
• Briefly press the ‘

’ button on the control unit of the ‘FAZ 3000-
Z’ alarm base station.
• Use the ‘ ’ and ‘ ’ buttons to select the ‘

• Confirm your selection by briefly pressing the ‘

The duration that is currently set appears on the LCD (factory set to 60
seconds).
• Use the ‘ ’ and ‘ ’ buttons to select the required duration. You can set
this to a value between 1 and 100 minutes in increments of 1 minute.
To make a quick setting, keep the ‘ ’ or ‘ ’ button pressed for a few
seconds.
• Pressing the ‘
OK
’ button applies the setting.
• Exit the menu by pressing the ‘
C
’ button twice. This returns you to the
normal display mode (main level).
