Mixolab
First turn off the Mixolab and disconnect the mains supply.
1. Remove the left and right casings (see op. 1-1) , as well as the
central casing (see op. 1-2) .
2. Unplug on the CPU board the connector of the heating circuit
to be tested
(A) .
3. On the connector terminals, measure with the multimeter the
resistance of each
resistor in the heating circuit.
Note: For the bowl heating resistors, a measurement from green ter-
minal block next to the bowl is more convenient, see (B) .
• A value around 260
Ω
is normal,
• a value clearly above 260
Ω
or an open circuit indicates that
the resistor is cut.
4. From the connector terminals (or the green terminal block),
measure with the multimeter the resistance of the
thermostat
in the heating circuit:
• a resistance value equal to or around zero is normal,
• an infinite resistance value indicates that the safety thermo-
stat is probably damaged.
5. Check the insulation of each connection (resistors and thermo-
stat) from the Earth:
• an infinite resistance (> 5M
Ω
) is normal,
• a resistance value equal to or around zero indicates that the
element is damaged (leakage to ground).
6. Re-plug the connectors on the CPU board.
7. Check with the multimeter that when there is a heating com-
mand the supply voltages of the resistors are correct :
• 230V for the tank resistors and bowl resistors 2 and 3.
• 130V for the bowl resistors 1 and 4.
8. Re-install the left and right casings of the Mixolab (see op. 1-
1) , as well as the central casing (see op. 1-2) .
