F resh Water System Maintenance
V ery little maintenance is req uired for the fresh water
system, other than annual disinfect ing and winterizi ng.
P eriodica lly ch eck
the entire system to assure that the
hose connections, tube fittings, electrical connections
and mounting bolts are properly secu red, and free of
chafing.
P eriodica lly ch eck the in-line strainer attach ed to the
pump, and cl ean, if nece ssary.
The system should be run at least every other month
to maintain the pump’ s impeller in a stable operating
co ndition.
F reshwater Pump
This vessel has a fresh water pump loca ted in the port
side bilge area aft of the battery trays. To acce
ss the
pump, lift the eq uipment hatch in the aft co ckp it deck.
To operate the system, turn ON the “ F RE S H WATE R”
breake r loca ted on the D C B reake r P anel loca ted on the
starboard wall of the ca bin.
When act ivated, the freshwater pump draws water
from the water tank and provides pressure to the entire
freshwater system.
P eriodica lly ch eck the hoses and co nnect ions for leaks
and or loose fittings. A loss of pressure will result in low
water ow.
