Section 4 Boat Systems
The generator draws fuel from its own tank loca ted on
the starboard aft side of the mach inery co mpartment.
The fuel system has its own fuel and water separating
filters.
The exhaust from the generator passes through a high
efficiency marine lift type water cooled muf er and is
discharged by a e ible hose via an aft starboard through
hull fitting.
The generator co ver act s as protect ion and a sound
shield. It ca n be removed by pulling latch es loca ted on
the bottom of the housing.
NE E store diesel uel in galvani ed containers
the galvani ed coating reacts chemically to
produce aking that quickly clogs lters or
causes fuel p ump or injector failure.
CARBO N MO NO X IDE can cause severe NAU SEA,
FAINTIN or EAT . The e haust system must
b e leakp roof and routinely insp ected.

not smoke or permit ames or sparks near uels
