L ifting and Slinging
V erify that the lifting eq uip ment, sp reader b ars,
slings, and attaching hardware are p rofessionally
certi ed to a working load o at least 1 , 00
pounds 3 kg with a sa ety actor o ve.
F ailure of any lifting comp onent could cause
ex tensive damage to the b oat, serious injury, or
death.
Never allow anyone to b e in the b oat or under
the b oat while you are lifting it. A mistake in the
lifting p rocedure or a comp onent failure could
cause serious injury or death.
Insp ect all lifting eq uip ment for signs of wear or
fatigue each time you lift the b oat. Re- certify or
rep lace the lifting eq uip ment annually. F ailure of
any lifting comp onent could cause serious injury
or death.
Never use the b oat’ s b ow eye, stern eyes, Samson
p ost, cleats, or railings as attachment p oints
to lift this b oat. F ailure of these items during
lifting could cause ex tensive damage to the b oat,
serious injury, or death.
Before you lift this b oat, insp ect the b ottom to
determine if there are any thru- hull transducers
installed. Contact b etween lifting gear and a
transducer will cause immediate, ex tensive
damage to the transducer and the hull.
