BCGP recommends for the standard engine house
batteries you use four group heavy duty marine
batteries rated at SAE marine cranking amps.

A DEEP CYCLE, SEALED DESIGN. ailure to do so will
result in an increased and dangerous presence of battery
discharge gases accumulating in the forward cabin.
Refer to the appropriate manufacturer’s manual in the
operator’s packet for specific marine battery requirements
for the engines and bow thruster.
Battery Maintenance
Periodic battery maintenance is important to ensure
that this boat will be ready for operation when needed.
Battery maintenance should include:
Inspect the batteries and charging systems before
each mission for loose or corroded connections and
damaged wiring.
Check and maintain the electrolyte level in all wet cell
batteries. Add distilled water only, as necessary.
Coat the battery terminals and cable connections
with heavy grease to reduce corrosion.
