Loosen the expansion screws in the position
shown in the figure (there are a total of
4expansion screws, with 2 on each side),
remove the B-pillar trim panel (the picture here
takes the right side of the vehicle as an
example).
Caution
The expansion parts of the expansion screws
and the knuckles which are used to fasten the
B-pillar trim panel are all disposable parts
and must be replaced with new pieces after
removal.
12. Remove the retaining bolts which connect
B-pillar and the left and right stabilizer bars.
There are a total of 12 retaining bolts, with 6 on
each side. (The picture here takes the right side
of the vehicle as an example.) Then, remove the
stabilizer bars on both sides and put them in a
safe place.
Caution
A torque of 24±2Nm is required when
reinstalling these bolts.
13. Before driving the vehicle, be sure to reset
the seat belts on both sides by taking steps
which are the opposite of the steps described in
Item 11 above. The front windshield folding
down operation is now at an end.
