Jumper Cables
To connect batteries via jumper cables, it is
necessary to connect the positive terminals first
and then the negative terminals.
1. Wear protective goggles properly, and
remove watches, bracelets and other metal
ornaments to prevent electric shock;
2. Put the ignition key to the “LOCK” position.
3. Connect the end -1- of the red power cable
with the anode (+) of the power-receiving
battery “A”.
4. Connect the other end -2- to the
power-supplying battery “B”.
5.Connect the end -3- of the black cable with
the negative electrode (-) of the
power-supplying battery “B” and the other end
-.4- with the engine cylinder of the
power-receiving battery “A” or the metal
component which is reliably connected with the
engine cylinder.
6. Start the vehicle with the power-supplying
battery and let it run in idle speed, and then start
the engine of the vehicle with the
power-receiving battery and let run for a period
of time so that the motor charges the
power-receiving battery.
7. Remove the power cable in a sequence
opposite to the steps above. During removal, be
careful not to be injured by the revolving leather
belt or fan.
Caution
●
Properly arrange the jumper cables to
prevent contact between the cable and
moving parts of the engine.
●
When dismantling the jumper cable, open
the blower or rear window heater of the
vehicle with battery low in order to reduce
the peak voltage while the cable is being
dismantled.
●
To ensure successful jumper connection,
the engine must be running idle when the
cables are removed.
