Before Starting the Engine
Tire:
check tire pressure and whether the tires
have cuts, damage or excessive wear.
Wheel nuts:
ensure that no nuts are lost or
loose.
Vehicle lights:
ensure that the front lights,
brake lights, high brake lights, taillights,
steering signal lights and other vehicle lights all
work normally. Check the beam direction of the
headlights. Check light direction of the
headlight.
Seat belt:
ensure that you and other passengers
have seated and fastened your seat belt properly
(children sit in the rear row and use special seat
belts).
Move the driver’s seat backwards as much as
possible. Meanwhile, ensure good vision and
effectively control the steering wheel, the clutch
pedal, the brake pedal, the accelerator pedal and
other control components which are used during
normal driving. Check whether there is any
display of faults on the instrument panel.
Move the front passenger’s seat backwards as
much as possible.
Ensure that babies and children are properly
positioned in accordance with regulatory
requirements so as to ensure that they receive
maximum protection in the event of an accident.
Instruments and controllers:
in particular, be
sure that the instrument indicator lights and the
defroster all work normally.
Brake pedal:
be sure that the pedal has
sufficient free clearance.
All oil levels: ensure that all the oil levels are
normal.
12V battery and cable conditions:
based on
the colors of the indicator, check 12V battery
conditions. Check for corrosion or looseness on
the blocks or cracks on the casing. Check that
the cables are well connected.
After Starting the Engine
Fuel leakage: After the vehicle has parked for a
while, check for leakage of fuel, engine oil,
water or other liquids in the vehicle. After use,
there may be water drops from the A/C. This is
a normal occurrence.
While Driving
Instruments:
Be sure that instruments work
normally.
Brake:
On a safe road, check and confirm that
when braked, the vehicle will not tilt towards
any side.
Other abnormalities:
Check whether parts are
loosened or have leaks and listen for abnormal
noises.
