MANUAL CALL activates a menu in which numbers can be entered manually.
FIGURE A12.7
MANUAL CALL MENU
After either AREA CODE or NUMBER x have been clicked, the numbers can
be entered using the panel of digits provided. Every selected digit is displayed
beside the activated field (AREA CODE or NUMBER x). Wrongly entered
numbers can be deleted with DEL. CR (carriage return) is used to confirm the
entered number and exit the panel of digits.
Up to 6 numbers (for a 6 B-ISDN connection) + area code can be entered. The
selection of the numbers 1 to 6 is done with the NUMBER fields and the scroll-
bar which is located to the left of the NUMBER field.
DIAL initiates the dialling (setting up of the connection) and then an exiting of
the OSD.
CLOSE activates the CALL menu.
The P (Pause) button in the panel of digits, makes it possible to force pauses
between the dialling of individual numbers. This is done by simply placing a
“P” in front of the respective number.
If a “B” is placed in front of the AREA CODE, the ISO/IEC 13871 signalling
procedure is used for dialling.
If an “R” is placed in front of the AREA CODE, there is an automatic switch to
LINE MODE RESTRICTED before dialling.
