It is possible to control the TITAN videcodec from a remote location, instead
of connecting it locally to a PC. This chapter describes the different types of
remote operation available.
Note
All the RS232C interfaces used for the connections described
in the following must have the same interface rate. If possible,
always use 19200 Baud. The actual transmission rate, i.e. the
channel capacity in the LSD channel or modem link can be lo-
wer. This does not affect the functionality.
7.1 Remote control via modems

First, a connection must be set up via modems. To do this, connect one mo-
dem to the RS232C interface (PC interface) of the codec to be remotely con-
trolled and at the other end of the line, connect the other modem to the control
PC

(see above figure).
The modems must fulfil the following requirements:
– Baud rate of 300 to 38400
– 8-bit mode
– no parity
Set the Baud rate manually, do not use the autodetect mode.
