VIDEO menu

This menu is used to control some of the functions of the motion video codec.

VIDEO MENU

PIP OFF/ON: This is used to switch the picture-in-picture on or off.

The PIP OFF/ON setting becomes active after the OSD has been exited, since
on activation of the OSD, the PIP window is removed in order that the PIP is
not superimposed on the OSD. The current setting is indicated by an arrow
(

) beside ON or OFF.

PRIVACY OFF/ON: This switches the video privacy function on (a neutral,
still-picture is transmitted to the far end) or off. If PRIVACY is set to ON, the
message “VIDEO PRIVACY ON” is displayed on the screen. The current set-
ting is indicated by

beside ON or OFF.

SEND H261-GRAPHIC: Clicking this key causes a still-picture (as per the
H.261 algorithm) to be transmitted. No special graphics codec is required for
this function.

UPDATE: After the reception of an H.261 graphic, UPDATE is used to switch
the system back to the full-motion picture mode. If the local codec is in the
freeze mode, the freeze mode is also deactivated.

FREEZE: This is used to freeze the received picture. This function is deacti-
vated with UPDATE (see above).
