C H A P T E R 3 : O P E R A T I O N W I T H A P C

In the “SELECTED MICROPHONE:” field in the lower right of the screen, the
currently set microphone is displayed. If a different microphone is being used,
click the PREFERRED MICROPHONE key. A window appears for the selec-
tion of the microphone.

Select the microphone being used from the list by clicking the name and then
the SELECT key

If the microphone being used is not listed, exit the selection window by clicking
CLOSE.

MICROPHONE MEASUREMENT

Generally, this procedure is only required if the microphone being used is not
in the list. For microphones in the list, the correct input levels have already
been determined and are set automatically.

The correct measurement of the microphone gain ensures optimal echo can-
cellation.

2 If there is no calibrated sound source available, this point can be left out. Set the microphone type to UNKNOWN (see
