Description:
The network interface to be used is selected with the LINE
command. Several network interfaces can be connected at a
given time, but the LINE command can activate only one of
these, i.e. the LINE command deactivates the previously selec-
ted network interface and activates the interface given in para-
meter 1.

Parameter 1:
Selection of the network interface
E1
selects E1 as the network interface,
parameter 2 required
RS449
selects RS-449 as the network interface,
no parameter 2
X21
selects X.21 as the network interface,
parameter 2 required
Parameter 2:
Selection of the clock type or interface mode
E
External clock (only E1)
I
Internal clock (only E1)
R
Recovered clock (only E1)
M1
X.21 Mode 1
(an X.21 interface at 56 – 1920 kbit/s)
M2
X.21 Mode 2
(1 to 6 X.21 interfaces at 56/64 kbit/s each)
M3
X.21 Mode 3 (an X.21 interface at 56 – 384 kbit/s
and 1 to 6 H.221 inband signalling procedures)
Note:
(1) For the TITAN 2, TITAN 6 and TITAN 30 videocodecs, all
the above network interfaces are available, but the maxi-
mum useful bit rate is limited to 128, 384 and 1920 kbit/s
respectively.
(2) For E1, the jumpers on the Interface Unit must be set cor-
rectly (see SECTION 2.10).
