System responses
5.2.1
Controller mode
Every system response begins with ^P (16
d
), followed by the command name
(the exact character sequence that was entered, e.g. for the ANSWER com-
mand: “AN” if “AN” was entered, “ANS” for “ANS” etc.). This is followed by:
“System response
1
” <cr>, if the command was carried out successfully,
1 1, if the command entered had a syntax error, or
1 2, if the command could not be executed
2
.
The parameters (1 and 2) in the system response are also separated from the
command name and from each other by a delimiter (^N [14
d
]).
5.2.2
Terminal mode
If the commands are entered without the Start character “^B”, the system re-
sponse is in plain text. This can be used if the commands are being entered
manually via a terminal.
The HELP command without “^B” produces a list of all available commands.
The system responses in this chapter, if not otherwise specified, refer to the
controller mode.
1 only if defined in the command.
2 not available at present; 1 1 is the response.
