How to Work

Adjusting the Cutting-blade Brake
1. Open the engine cover (refer to p. 24, 25 of this
manual) and remove the cutting-blade belt cover.
2. Shift the cutting-blade clutch lever in the “Off”
position and turn the adjusting nut so that a gap
of 2 to 3 mm exists when the tip of the wire is
pulled by small force.

If the cutting-blade brake is not working properly, the cutting
blade may turn even when the cutting-blade clutch lever is put in the
“Off” position. Such incident may lead to an unexpected accident .
Danger
The cutting blade should stop within 5 seconds after shifting the cutting-blade
clutch lever in the “Off” position. If the blade does not stop within 5 seconds, make
adjustment according to the procedure below.

If the cutting-blade brake cannot be adjusted properly, it is
the time to replace the brake shoe(Cutter). Contact the
“dealer you from which you purchased your Ride-on Bush
Cutter” for replacement as soon as possible.
