Keeping/Storage
1. Stop the engine and thoroughly clean mud and
other foreign matters attached to the machine.
In particular, be sure to remove foreign
matters from the muf

er and other
components around the engine, as they
may cause

re.
2. Put a cover on the machine or put it in a storage
shed to keep the machine away form children,
etc. When putting a cover on the machine, wait
until the hot parts cool down completely. If a
cover is put on while any part of the machine
is still hot, it may cause a
fi
re.
3. If the machine will be stored for a long period
of time, drain fuel from the fuel tank and
carburetor. If fuel remains in the machine,
the fuel will not only degrade, but it may
also ignite and cause
fi
re, which create a
very dangerous situation.
4. If the machine will be stored for a long period
of time, unplug the battery cable. If not, the
cables may be bitten by rats, etc., and cause
short-circuiting and ignite, which cause
fi
re
and create a very dangerous situation.
