Replacing the Traveling V-belt
1. Check the traveling V-belt for damage by
viewing it from the rear of the machine.
2. If the V-belt is damaged, remove the HST fan
cover and take out the belt stopper on the engine
pulley side.
3. Open the engine cover and remove the
cutting-blade belt cover. (Refer to p. 64 of this
manual.)
4. Loosen the adjusting nut to loosen the traveling
tension spring, which is tensioning the traveling
V-belt. (Refer to p. 64 of this manual.)
5. Remove the cutting-blade V-belt, and then
remove the traveling V-belt by lifting it up from
the transmission pulley groove.
6. Install a new traveling V-belt and then install
the cutting-blade V-belt.
7. Adjust the tension of the traveling V-belt. (Refer
to p. 64 of this manual.)
8. Adjust the position of the belt stopper until
the gap between the belt stopper on the engine
pulley side and the engine pulley becomes 2 to 3
mm.
Check the traveling V-belt for damage. If the belt has cracks or worn, replace it
with a new part according to the procedure below.
