4 . Piping the Drain Water
This section explains the method of connecting the drain hose to the drain port
at the bottom of the FA cooler .
⇒
Outside air is sucked towards the side of the circulation path of the FA cooler
and devices in the control panel or devices located near the circulation path of
the FA cooler may malfunction. Do not connect the drain hose in an environ-
ment of remarkably floating dirt and oil mist. In addition, do not extremely short
-
en the drain hose and secure a certain length (at least 2 m).
⇒
Use a container exclusively for receiving the drain water.
⇒
If the drain water is not drained normally, drainage is performed from the suction
port on the heat radiation side.
Operating Procedure
(1) Attach the drain hose to the drain port at the bottom of the FA cooler.
(2) Remove the front panel and install a cable tie.
Fix the drain hose surely with a cable tie.
CAUTION
■ Install the drain hose as shown below:
When soaking the hose end in water When opening the hose end
Cable tie
Drain hose
If there is no water around the hose end or
the hose end comes out of the water surface,
air will be vacuumed through the hose . This
may cause poor drainage or result in water
leak blowing from the outlet .
If a loop is made, air may be collected between
a container and a loop when the hose end is
soaked in water . This may cause poor drain-
age .
Be sure to put water
and insert end .
Collection

Do not insert end in
water if loop is made .
Air cannot escape
and poor drainage
occurs .
Make a loop .
Be sure to add
water .
Do not insert end
if loop is made .
