⇒
For simple systems, do not connect anything to pins not described above.
Proper integration of the Laser with external equipment is required for compliance
with applicable safety regulations. The wiring diagrams in this section show typical
implementations. Failure to select and implement a correct method of wiring can ren-
der the Laser unsafe.
CAUTION
ALL CONNECTIONS ARE POTENTIAL FREE DRY CONTACT CLOSURE ONLY .
Do not apply any voltage or current or you will damage the system .
Do not connect to the power supply on the EXT . I/O (1) and (2) connectors .
Interlocks
The interlocks cut off laser light in an emergency.
CAUTION
The emergency stop and interlock are made up of two dry contact inputs . These
must be made to open and close simultaneously . After the interlock has opened and
closed, reset is activated and interlock is canceled .
Emergency Stop for Simple Systems
Interfacing with External Emergency Stop Circuitry
E-STOP button(s) ONLY
The Laser can be interfaced to a simple system including an enclosure and one or
more external emergency stop buttons. In this situation the Laser would not be con-
nected to any larger automation system or control any other equipment. The dual
channel output relays can be monitored to verify the status of the emergency stop
circuit but no external equipment other than that outlined above should be included.
Reset can be performed via the EXT. I/O (1) connector.
Also, dual channel relay outputs are available.
