3 . Preparations for External Input/Output Control
This section explains the devices and connectors required for laser processing
by external input/output signals in the CL-E mode .
In the CL-E mode, MF-C2000A-MC/SC is controlled by using the external input/out-
put signals (EXTERNAL CONTROL) of MF-C2000A-M/S.
Therefore, the following functions are disabled.
- Control from the laser controller (welding schedule setting and the LASER START/
STOP button)
- Control by the external input/output signals (EXT.I/O (1) and (2) connectors)
- Control by the external communication (RS-485)
- Simultaneous use of “SET-POWER SYNCHRONIZE”, “ACTIVE HEAT CONTROL”
and “POWER-CORRECT ASSIST” functions
Connect the PLC to the USER I/O connector provided at the connector panel 2 to
control the main unit by executing the program from the outside.
As another system for safety, a remote interlock must be connected as a matter of
duty. The E-STOP connector (the REM. I/L connector when replacing our old prod-
ucts) is connected to the interlock of the door of the chamber or room for laser pro-
cessing. If the door is suddenly opened, the LD is turned off.
The plug, socket and case models of connectors are as follows.
