Figure 5-6
Choose the type of display,
RMS
or
PEAK
, by pressing the yellow key correspond-
ing to the icon. The Model 8335 displays curves on which you can move the time
cursor and zoom in and out.
In the PEAK display, the available information is:
•
The instantaneous current and voltage at the time indicated by the
cursor (in a “waveform” representation).
•
The maximum instantaneous current and voltage in the half-cycle
indicated by the cursor (in an “envelope” representation).
•
The maximum instantaneous absolute value of the current and voltage
(over the entire capture).
In the RMS display, the available information is:
•
The instantaneous frequency at the time indicated by the cursor.
•
The minimum, mean, and maximum instantaneous values of the
frequency over the entire capture.
• The RMS current and voltage in the half-cycle (or lobe) on which the
cursor is positioned.
• The maximum half-cycle RMS current and voltage (over the entire
capture).
A voltage must be present on the phase before the motor start-up for a
stable and correct frequency control.
