ONFIGURATION
Configuring Spanning Tree
The
Spanning Tree
feature allows configuration of the port spanning tree
protocol settings on the network devices.

Spanning Tree Panel
The settings for each of the spanning tree parameters will only be applied
as part of the configuration template if the associated checkbox is
checked.
The port path cost value can be specified to be determined dynamically
by the device or specified explicitly, by entering the path cost value into
the edit field provided. Note that the path cost edit field will only be
enabled when the
Custom
option is selected from the path cost
drop-down list box. The port path cost value must be in the range
1-1000.
Configuring Port Administration
The
Port Administration
feature allows the user to enable or disable ports
and to specify whether the devices should inform management stations
when a link is detected or lost.
