community for the router and select
OK

to move onto the
next router.
Importing subnets from a file
The Import Subnets button allows you to select a file to import subnet
information from.
3Com Network Director will import subnet information from files that
have the following format:
■
Each subnet is listed on a separate line.
■
Each subnet is specified by its subnet IP address followed by its subnet
mask.
■
Each subnet can also optionally have an IP address range specified for
it, by appending the first and last IP addresses in the range to the end
of the subnet line. This indicates the range of IP addresses to discover
on the subnet.
Multiple ranges can be specified for a subnet by listing the subnet
multiple times within the file with a different range for each entry.
■
Each field is separated by space or tab characters.
■
If a “#” character appears in a line then 3Com Network Director will
ignore that character and any other text that follows it on that line.
This allows you to add comments to the file.
For example, the following would be valid contents of a file to import
subnet information from:
