SECTION 10: UPRIGHT STAND
10.1 Upri g ht Stand
A stand can b e u sed on an u pright air handler w hich
w ill b e installed on a concrete sla b or on the floor. For
models TT112 - TT221 stand height is 36" (91.4 cm);
for model TT224 stand height is 46" (116.8 cm); for
model TT230 stand height is 47" (119.4 cm); for
models TT233 and TT236 stand height is 55" (139.7
cm). The stand m
u st first b e fastened to the concrete
sla b or floor b efore the air handler is mo u nted u pon
it.
10.2 Upri g ht Stand Installation
To attach the stand to a concrete sla b , it m u st b e
sec u red w ith the u se of st u ds em b edded in the
concrete. Fo u r st u ds m u st b e installed in the sla b ,
one for each corner of the stand. Q u antity 4,
maxim u m size 3/4" (19.1 cm) For models TT112 -
TT218, the mo u nting holes are to b e field-drilled for
installation of the st u ds. For models TT224 - TT236,
the stand has fo u r 3/4"(19.1 cm) holes drilled thro u gh
the stand pads. See Page 54, Figure 49 . A st u d
(pro v ided b y others) m u st b e installed in the sla b for
each hole. Fasten the stand to the sla b w ith fo u r hex
n u ts w ith flat and lock w ashers (pro v ided b y others).
10.3 Attachin g Air Handler to Stand
Once the stand is sec u red to a concrete sla b , the air
handler may b e placed on the stand. Prior to lifting
the air handler, apply a ½" (1.27 cm) thick do ub le-
sided u rethane foam tape (pro v ided b y others) to the
top edge of the stand. Lift the air handler on to the
mo
u nting stand. See Page 27, Section 6.1 for safe
lifting practices. Once the air handler is placed on the
stand, sec
u re it w ith the pro v ided hard w are per
recommended torq u e settings. See Page 10, Section
1 After placing the air handler on the mo u nting stand,
seams b et w een the mo u nting stand and the air
handler m u st b e properly ca u lked (ca u lk pro v ided b y
others).
NOTE:
If u sing the filter section w ith the u pright air
handler and stand, the filter section m u st b e set do w n
onto the stand b efore the air handler is mo u nted on
the stand. The 1/2" (1.27 cm) thick do ub le-sided
u rethane foam tape sho u ld b e applied b et w een the
stand and the filter section.
