• Recheck air press u re drops across bu rner on high
and lo w airflo w settings.
• Minim u m motor speed is factory set and sho u ld
not b e adj u sted u nless specifically directed to do
so b y the factory.
24.7.3 Two Position Volumatic
• Air handler can b e r u nning in either the s u mmer
or w inter mode of operation.
• Close interlock for high airflo w . Discharge
dampers w ill dri v e to f u ll open position.
• Press u re drop across bu rner sho u ld remain
sta b le.
• Open interlock for high airflo w , discharge damper
w ill dri v e to its minim u m position determined b y
the air handler mo u nted damper position
controller. This controller determines w hat the
airflo w w ill b e deli v ered; it m u st b e set so air
handler does not go b elo w the minim u m setting
for the bu rner air press u re drop.
• Take air press u re drop reading across bu rner
profiles.
• If b elo w recommended setting, decrease the
profile linkage range of tra v el w itho u t altering the
f u ll airflo w position. If a b o v e setting, increase the
profile linkage range. See Page 125, Section
24.4.2.1 .

• The air handler is s u pplied w ith a red u ced
maxim u m fire potentiometer w hich pre v ents the
bu rner from o v er firing w hile in its red u ced airflo w
operation. Adj u sting this potentiometer controls
the bu rner efficiency and performance at lo w
airflo w . T u rning this potentiometer co u nter
clock w ise increases bu rner o u tp u t clock w ise
decreases the o u tp u t. Set this potentiometer to
meet the design temperat u re rise at the lo w
airflo w setting. See Page 125, Section 24.4.2.1 .
24.7.4 Two Speed Volumatic
• Air handler can b e r u nning in either the s u mmer
or w inter mode of operation.
• Close interlock for high speed.
• Press u re drop across bu rner sho u ld remain
sta b le.
• Open interlock for high speed.
• Take air press u re drop across bu rner profiles.
• If b elo w recommended setting, decrease the
profile linkage range of tra v el w itho u t altering the
high speed position. If a b o v e setting, increase the
profile linkage range. See Page 126, Section
24.4.2.2 .

o u tside airflo w req u irement. Inlet dampers (if
eq u ipped) w ill dri v e to f u ll open position, ret u rn air
dampers w ill dri v e to the f u ll closed position.
• Press u re drop across bu rner sho u ld remain sta b le
d u ring all settings of the damper position
controller.
• Set the damper position controller for lo w est
o u tside airflo w position. Inlet damper (if eq u ipped)
w ill dri v e to its minim u m position, ret u rn air
dampers w ill dri v e to the f u ll open position and
v erify the air press u re drop across bu rner profiles.
• If b elo w recommended setting, decrease the
profile linkage range of tra v el w itho u t altering the
f u ll airflo w position. If a b o v e setting, increase the
profile linkage range. See Page 125, Section
24.4.2.1 .
