24.4.1.1 Differential Pressure Adjustment Manual
Profiles
To adj u st the differential press u re that w as meas u red
in the step a b o v e, u se the profile damper adj u stment
q u adrants located a b o v e and b elo w the bu rner
access panel for horizontal config u ration or on either
side of the bu rner access panel on v ertical
config u ration. To increase the differential press u re,
t u rn the q u adrant to w ards the centerline of the
bu rner. To decrease the differential press u re, t u rn the
q u adrants to w ards the parallel of airflo w path. Both
q u adrants m u st b e at the same setting, bu t opposing,
for proper airflo w distri bu tion across the bu rner. Make
any adj u stments in small increments and recheck
press u re drop after each adj u stment. See Page 124,
Figure 109 .

24.4.1.2 Differential Pressure Adjustment Motor-
ized Profiles
To adj u st the differential press u re that w as meas u red
on Page 124, Section 24.4.1 the profile b lade
assem b lies m u st b e adj u sted indi v id u ally to achie v e
the desired press u re. DO NOT dist u r b the
relationship of the damper motor to the shaft or any
linkage adj
u stments. Loosen the setscre w nearest
the linkage end of the profile b lade and t u rn the b lade
on the shaft in the direction necessary to correct the
press
u re, make changes in small increments. Each
profile assem b ly is done indi v id u ally and eq u ally,
tighten setscre w s sec u rely w hen done. T u rn the air
lea v ing edge of b lade to w ard the bu rner to increase
press u re and a w ay from bu rner to decrease
press u re. Check press u re o v er the f u ll operating
range of the u nit w hen done. See Page 124, Figure
109

24.4.2 Burner Gas Flow (Temperature Rise)
The gas flo w m u st b e adj u sted to gi v e the design
temperat u re rise a b o v e o u tside air. Refer to the air
handler's rating plate for the temperat u re rise it w as
ordered for. To determine the proper gas flo w the
follo w ing steps need to b e completed.
24.4.2.1 Burner Gas Flow - Maxitrol ® Series 14/44
Temperature Control System
• Meas u re the o u tside air temperat u re.
• Disconnect one of the discharge sensor w ires
from terminal 3 on the Maxitrol 1014 or 1044
amplifier. The air handler
w ill no w r u n at high fire.
• Start the air handler in the w inter mode.
• After the bu rner has ignited and r u n for 30
seconds, meas u re the discharge temperat u re.
• S ub tract the o u tside air temperat u re from the
discharge temperat u re; the difference is the
temperat u re rise.
• If the v al u e is lo w er than req u ired, increase the
gas flo w . If the v al u e is higher than req u ired,
decrease the gas flo w . For adj u stments See Page
