27.9.2 Fireye ® M4RT1
The Fireye ® M4RT1 is a self contained v ersion of the
MicroM flame safeg u ard. It is only u sed on flame rod
applications and does not ha v e separate
programming b oards or flame signal amplifiers. Refer
to Page 186, and Page 187 , Figure 117 and Figure
118
and u se the same ser v ice g u ide that the MicroM
u ses, except ignore the sections concerning
replacing programming and amplifier b oards, bu t
instead w here e v er replacement is needed, the entire
flame safeg u ard m u st b e replaced.

R u n/Test S w itch
The R u n/Test S w itch is located on the top side of the
relay mod u le. The R u n/Test S w itch allo w s the bu rner
seq u ence to b e altered as follo w s:
• In the meas u red PREPURGE seq u ence, the R u n/
Test S w itch, placed in the TEST position, ca u ses
the PREPURGE timing to stop.
• In the Pilot Flame Esta b lishing Period, the R u n/
Test S w itch, placed in the TEST position, stops
the timer d u ring the first eight seconds of a ten-
second PFEP selection. It also allo w s for pilot
t u rn-do w n test and other bu rner adj u stments. This
acti v ates a fifteen-second flameo u t timer that
permits pilot flame adj u stment w itho u t n u isance
safety sh u tdo w ns.
IMPORTANT
When the relay mod u le is s w itched to the TEST
mode, it stops and holds at the next R u n/Test S w itch
point in the operating seq u ence. Make s u re that the
R u n/Test S w itch is in the RUN position b efore lea v ing
the installation.
The POWER LED pro v ides fa u lt identification w hen
the flame safeg u ard control locks o u t on an alarm.
Fa u lt identification is a series of fast- and slo w -
b linking LED lights. The fast b links identify the tens
portion of the fa u lt code (three fast b links is 30), w hile
the slo w b links identify the u nits portion of the fa u lt
code (t w o slo w b links is 2). Three fast b links follo w ed
b y t w o slo w b links w o u ld b e fa u lt code 32. This
identifies a r u nning interlock on d u ring STANDBY.
The LED code repeats as long as the fa u lt exists. To
clear the fa u lt, press the RESET bu tton, ( See Page
188, Table 51 for Blinking Fa u lt Code List.).

6. If the code reappears, replace the flame amplifier and/or the flame detector.

5. Inspect the Airflo w S w itch and make s u re that it is f u nctioning properly.
6. Check the flame detector sighting position; reset and recycle. Meas u re the flame signal
strength. Verify that it meets specifications. If not, refer to the flame detector and/or flame
amplifier checko
u t proced u res in the installation instr u ctions.
7. Replace the flame amplifier and/or the flame detector, if necessary.
8 . If the fa u lt persists, replace the relay mod u le.
