• If h u nting is enco u ntered (rapid oscillation),
rotating the sensiti v ity control co u nterclock w ise
may dampen the oscillation, sta b ilizing the flame.
• DO NOT adj u st u nless necessary, b eca u se
decreasing the sensiti v ity w ill increase the
temperat u re "DROOP" of the system.
27.6.3 Series 44 -Temperature Calibration
NOTE: All electronic components are pre-cali b rated
to a b ase resistance. This permits field replacement
w itho u t u psetting system cali b ration.
27.6.3.1 Minimum Dischar g e Air Temperature
1. Install a thermometer or other temperat u re
meas u ring de v ice at a point adjacent to the tip
of the Discharge Air Monitor.
2. Connect a w ire j u mper b et w een terminals #4
and #5. Be s u re minim u m temperat u re setting
is at least ten degrees higher than o u tdoor
temperat u re.
3. T u rn the cali b rating potentiometer u ntil the
reading of the thermometer adjacent to the
Discharge Air Monitor agrees
w ith the mini-
m u m setting of the Discharge Air Temperat u re
Selector.
• Clock w ise rotation increases.
4. Remo v e j u mper.
27.6.3.2 Maximum Dischar g e Air Temperature
1. Install a thermometer or other temperat u re
meas u ring de v ice at a point adjacent to the tip
of the Discharge Air Monitor.
2. Disconnect w ires from terminals #4 & #5. Con-
nect 12K resistor across terminals #4 & #5.
3. T u rn the cali b rating potentiometer (B), u ntil the
reading of the thermometer adjacent to the
Discharge Air Monitor agrees
w ith the maxi-
m u m setting of the Discharge Air Temperat u re
Selector.
• Clock w ise rotation increases temperat u re
Be s u re temperat u re setting does not
exceed the design temperat u re rise of the
air handler.
4. Remo v e resistor and reconnect w ires.
27.6.3.3 Space Temperature
1. Install a thermometer or other temperat u re
meas u ring de v ice at a point adjacent to the
Discharge Air Temperat u re Selector. Set the
Discharge Air Temperat u re Selector for the
desired room temperat u re. Beca u se of the
large space b eing heated, w ait at least one half
ho u r to make certain adj u stment is needed.
2. If the temperat u re reading is different from the
temperat u re setting, t u rn (C) clock w ise for an
increase in space temperat u re and co u nter-
clock w ise for a decrease in temperat u re. Each
increment on adj u stment C is approximately
2.5 degrees.
3. After an adj u stment has b een made, gi v e the
room temperat u re at least one half ho u r to set-
tle o u t b efore rechecking.
