8 .3 Neoprene or Sprin g Isolators for Pad-
Mounted Air Handlers
The pad style isolator, w hich is a v aila b le in either a
neoprene v ersion or spring v ersion, is u sed to
s u pport the air handler from a b ase pad or str u ct u ral
frame.
8 .3.1 Neoprene Mount Isolator
The neoprene mo u nt isolator is a single piece
str u ct u re in a rectang u lar steel ho u sing designed to
b e b olted directly to the b ottom s u pport b ase of the
air handler eq u ipment and the pad or b ase it rests
on. See Page 39, Figure 36 . Neoprene style is
normally selected w hen the eq u ipment req u ires u p to
½" (12.7 mm) of static deflection.

8 .3.1.1 Installation Instructions for Neoprene
Mount Isolator
All hard w are req u ired to mo u nt the isolator to the
str u ct u re is to b e s u pplied b y the installer.
1. Install b lockers u nder the air handler eq u ip-
ment to allo w the isolator to b e slid into place.
2. Place the isolator b et w een the str u ct u re and
s u pport b ase of the air handler.
3. Bolt the b ase of the isolator sec u rely to the
str u ct u re.
4. Sec u re eq u ipment w ith an adj u sting b olt pass-
ing thro u gh the b ase of the air handler and
scre w it into the isolator. See Page 40, Figure
37 .
