27.5.1 Series 14 - Low Fire Start Time Adjustment
1. On the "L" s u ffix amplifiers, the lo w fire start
d u ration is adj u sta b le from approximately 0-30
seconds, and b egins timing after the amplifier
has b een energized.
2. High fire is delayed, and the M/MR v al v e
remains in the lo w fire setting position d u ring
the delay time period.
3. Use a small scre w dri v er to adj u st the time
delay potentiometer.
• T u rn clock w ise (+) to increase lo w fire start
d u ration, and co u nter-clock w ise (-) to
decrease lo w fire start d u ration.
27.5.2 Series 14 - Sensitivity Adjustment
• The sensiti v ity control w ill allo w the u ser to control
the response of the system. Ca u tion sho u ld b e
exercised in the u se of this adj u stment. Under
normal u sage the pointer sho u ld b e located on
the mark on the la b el.
• If h u nting is enco u ntered (rapid oscillation),
rotating the sensiti v ity control co u nter-clock w ise
w ill dampen the oscillation - sta b ilizing the flame.
• DO NOT adj u st u nless necessary, b eca u se
decreasing the sensiti v ity w ill increase the
temperat u re "DROOP" of the system.
27.5.3 Series 14 - Temperature Calibration
NOTE: The components of this system are
indi v id u ally cali b rated and are not part of a matched
set. It is necessary to place an acc u rate temperat u re
meas u ring de v ice as near the discharge air sensor
as possi b le. Set the remote temperat u re selector at
least 10° a b o v e o u tside air temperat u res.
1. Cali b rating at the remote temperat u re selector:
• If meas u red temperat u re is b elo w set
temperat u re, rotate the cali b ration
potentiometer clock w ise u ntil the correct
temperat u re is o b tained.
• If the temperat u re is a b o v e the set point the
potentiometer sho u ld b e t u rned co u nter-
clock w ise.
• Proceed slo w ly w ith the a b o v e steps so as
to allo w the temperat u re meas u ring
instr u ment to catch u p w ith the change in
temperat u re.
2. Cali b rating at the Amplifier:
• Adj u st cali b ration potentiometer u ntil
temperat u re reads the same as the set
temperat u re.
• If the temperat u re is b elo w the set point,
then rotate cali b ration potentiometer
clock w ise.
• If the temperat u re is a b o v e the set point,
rotate the potentiometer co u nter-clock w ise.
• Proceed slo w ly w ith the a b o v e steps so as
to allo w the temperat u re meas u ring
instr u ment to catch u p w ith the change in
temperat u re.
