20.7 Other Control Options
20.7.1 Exhaust Fan Interlock - Exhaust Fan Starts
Air Handler
This option pro v ides an interlock b et w een an exha u st
fan and an air handler. It incl u des a b reak in the
control circ u itry to w hich w iring from an a u xiliary set
of contacts on the starter of an exha u st fan can b e
connected.
20.7.1.1 Exhaust Fan Interlock - Air Handler Starts
Exhaust Fan
This option pro v ides an interlock b et w een an exha u st
fan and an air handler. It incl u des w iring from an
a u xiliary set of contacts on the air handlers b lo w er
motor starter to start the exha u st fan.
20.7.2 Burner On/Off Outdoor Thermostat
This option de-energizes the bu rner circ u it w hen the
o u tside air temperat u re meets or exceeds the
thermostat's set point. It incl u des a thermostat and
o u tside air sensor. The range of thermostat is 25 -
100 °F (-3.9 - 37.8 °C).
20.7.3 Low Limit Control - (With Thermostat Timer
and Relay)
This option sh u ts do w n the air handler w hen the
discharge temperat u re falls b elo w the controller's set
point. It incl u des a solid-state controller w ith timer
and a thermistor-type discharge air temperat u re
pro b e. The temperat u re range of the controller is 30 -
75 °F (-1.1 - 17.9 °C) and the timer range of the
controller is 1-10 min
u tes. The controller is typically
set for 35 °F (1.7 °C) and a 5-min u te time delay in
order to allo w a w arm- u p period for the air handler
w hen first b eing energized.
NOTE: The lo w limit control is recommended w here
freeze protection is needed in the e v ent of bu rner
sh u tdo w n.
20.7.4 Unit Mounted On/Off Switch
This option pro v ides man u al on and off operation of
the air handler. It incl u des a single-pole, single-thro w
(SPST) toggle s w itch (mo u nted in the air handler's
control panel).
20.7.5 Post-Pur g e Timer and Relay
This option allo w s the s u pply fan on the eq u ipment to
r u n for a timed period (adj u sta b le 1 to 100 min u tes)
after bu rner sh u tdo w n. It incl u des timer (mo u nted on
air handler).
20.7.6 Pre-Pur g e Timer and Relay
This option allo w s the s u pply fan on the eq u ipment to
r u n for a timed period (adj u sta b le 0.1 to 15 min u tes)
b efore allo w ing the bu rner to fire and r u n. It incl u des
timer (mo u nted on air handler).
20.7.7 Clo gg ed Filter Switch with Indicator Li g ht
This option monitors the differential press u re drop
across the filters and, w hen it meets or exceeds the
set point, ill u minates a light mo u nted on the remote
panel. It incl u des a press u re differential s w itch
(mo u nted on the air handler) and an indicator light
(mo u nted on the remote panel).
20.7. 8 Audible Alarm for Flame Failure
This option so u nds an alarm u pon bu rner fail u re. It
incl u des an alarm de v ice (mo u nted on the air
handler's control panel).
20.7.9 Ultra Violet Flame Supervision
This option incl u des a Ultra Violet scanner mo u nted
on the bu rner in lie u of a flame rod w ith the
appropriate amplifier in the flame safeg u ard.
20.7.10 Unit Mounted Dischar g e Sensor
In this option the discharge temperat u re sensor is
mo u nted in the b lo w er's ho u sing and is w ired directly
b ack to the air handler's control panel.
20.7.11 Circuit Analyzer Indicators (Watchman)
This, depending on the options ordered, option
consists of
u p to ele v en indicators. The indicator
lights can either b e mo u nted in the air handler's
control panel or on the remote panel option to aid in
tro
ub leshooting the air handler.
20.7.12 Service Receptacle Powered by Others
This option pro v ides a ser v ice receptacle. It incl u des
gro u nd-fa u lt interr u pter (GFI) receptacle (mo u nted on
the air handler). Po w er to the receptacle is s u pplied
b y the installer.
20.7.13 Service Receptacle with a 7 Amp Power
