6.5 Reuse
Important
If the equipment is to be used in different conditions and with materials other than the previous applica-
tion, ensure the

indications are complied with.
Before reusing the valve after a prolonged shutdown, proceed as described below.
1)
Check the main nuts and bolts to make sure they are tightened properly.
2)
Set the valve in safety conditions before starting operation making sure the valve is completely empty.
3)
Check the supply system and all parts the working of which may be affected by long shutdowns.
4)
Clean the valve thoroughly according to the instructions given on the product safety chart.
5)
If the valve operates in different conditions, or using materials different from the previous application, ensure
this use complies the INDICATIONS FOR USE section.
6)
Start up the valve (see “Production Start-up”).
