Description

controller.
Feedback
signal [62]
Selection of the parameter that represents the feedback value of the process controller. -
Signal
Selected parameter is automatically recalculated to the given range.
7.6.3 OPTIMIZATION
Group of parameters number [24]
Setting the parameters for the optimization block that is used to search for the extremum of any signal using
the change of a selected setpoint signal, which are connected to optimization output OPT Output [434]
(page 24).
Optimization searches for an output value, at which it reaches the criteria of the selected signal. If the
measuring conditions Opt. meas. signal [35] (page 70) and the operation condition Opt. reset signal [33]
(page 70) during the optimization are met, new output samples are calculated in defined intervals
Optimization step [666] (page 24). The found global extremum is saved to the memory.
START. POINT OPT
Group of parameters number [652]
Defines the initial conditions (starting point) of the optimization, when the scanning is turned off.

Description
Def.
Start. Point
OPT [651]
Defines the starting value of the optimization output, when the scanning is
turned off.
0.0000
0.0000
÷
1.0000
If the OPTSP source Start. point source [653] (page 69) is not selected, this fixed value will be
used.
Start. point
source [653]
Selection of a signal that can be used as an optimization starting point, when the
starting point storing condition is met.
[46]
DC
Voltage
Signal
Start. point
condition
[654]
Signal that is evaluated, if a starting point from the selected signal should be set
or not.
[528] Status
word negated
Signal
For example, parameter Status word negated [528] (page 25) is selected and in OPTSP
active [655] (page 69) "Run" is selected, the starting value from Start. point source [653]
(page 69) will be stored, when the inverter is not in START mode. When in START, the last
saved starting value is kept.
OPTSP
active [655]
Conditions for activation of starting point of optimization.
Operation
Look choises of parameter's Inverter state [76] (page 25)
OPTSP
inactive
[656]
OPTSP inactive: In case of a numeric signal if the signal value is lower than the
defined level.
Look choises of parameter's Inverter state [76] (page 25)
Opt. signal
[23]
Selection of a parameter, whose value should be optimized according to the
criteria Opt. criteria [25] (page 69).
[593]
Inst.
production
Signal
Most often, the optimization signal is selected as Produced or Consumed inverter load (MPPT
algorithm - maximum power point tracking). Optimized signal can be externally supplied via
the analog inputs or derived from any other diagnostic quantity of the inverter.
Opt. criteria
[25]
Setting the optimization criteria.
For example, the load which consumes, the criterion of minimum power is
chosen; for generators the maximum produced power or power factor is chosen.
Signal max.
Signal min.
Optimization to the minimal value of a selected signal Opt. signal [23] (page 69).
Signal max. Optimization to the maximum value of a selected signal Opt. signal [23] (page 69).
delta signal
[27]
Difference between the found global extremum and the optimized quantity,
when the optimization is restarted.
90000.0 W
-90000.0 W ÷
90000.0 W
Global extremum can be overwritten with a new value after the initial scan, if a new value is
found that matches the optimization criteria better. If the algorithm moves away from the found
global extremum more that it is set in this parameter, an optimization restart will be generated,
