Error messages
Incorrect operation of the UDMR or incorrect processing of commands will cause an error message to be displayed. Refer to the
table below for a list of displayed error messages and their corresponding solutions.

DAMAGED CARD.
PLEASE FORMAT.
The CompactFlash card or its stored
data may be damaged.
Please format the memory card. If you
cannot format the card or the same
message is displayed after formatting,
the memory card itself may be
damaged. Please use a different
memory card.
CARD NOT SUPPORTED.
CHANGE CARD.
The memory card cannot be used with
the UDMR.
Use a compatible CompactFlash card.
CARD FULL.
DELETE PHRASES.
Data cannot be recorded on the card
due to insufficient storage capacity.
Delete unnecessary phrases from the
card to increase available memory.
CANNOT PLAY.
CHECK PHRASE.
The phrase may be damaged or
incompatible with the UDMR.
Check that the phrase is suitable for
use.
CARD IS WRITE PROTECTED.
The CF card's write protect switch is
turned on.
Turn off the write-protect switch
according the card's instruction manual.
LOW BATTERY.
PLEASE REPLACE.
The card's battery voltage is low.
Please replace the card's battery.
MIDI BUFFER OVERFLOW.
CHANGE SEND METHOD.
The UDMR was unable to process the
large amount of MIDI data received in a
short time.
Please change the MIDI data
transmission method.
NO ACTIVE SENSE. RECORDING
STOPPED.
The MIDI Active Sense message has
been discontinued.
Check the transmission and MIDI cable.
INCORRECT FORMAT.
PLEASE REFORMAT.
The card format is not supported by the
UDMR.
Please reformat the memory card.
PHRASE NOT FOUND.
The designated phrase cannot be
located.
Select an existing phrase or record a
new phrase.
CARD ACCESS ERROR.
CHANGE CARD.
The UDMR could not read or write to the
memory card.
The card may be damaged or
incompatible with the UDMR. Use a
different memory card.
CARD PROTECT ON. CANNOT
WRITE.
The UDMR cannot write to the card
because its card protect setting is turned
on.
Turn the card protect setting off.
CARD NOT INSERTED.
PLEASE INSERT CARD.
The memory card is not inserted in the
card slot.
Please insert the card into the card slot.
CANNOT CONFIGURE SELECTED
PHRASE.
The selected phrase's settings are not
supported by the UDMR.
Select a phrase which can be configured
or record a new phrase.
MIDI OUTPUT SET TO THRU. DATA
NOT SENT.
The MIDI data has not been sent
because the MIDI OUTPUT is set to
THRU.
Set the MIDI OUTPUT to OUT.
MIDI CHECKSUM ERROR
The checksum of the received MIDI data
does not match.
Check the transmission and the MIDI
data.
WRONG PHRASE TYPE.
CANNOT SYNC PLAYBACK
The master and slave devices are using
different phrase types.
Make sure that the phrase types are the
same.
PHRASE NOT FOUND.
CANNOT SYNC PLAYBACK
The UDMR cannot perform sync
playback because the designated file
does not exist.
Designate an existing phrase to the
slave device.
