Modifying recorded phrases (phrase settings)
Adding information to
phrases(phrase information)
The UDMR allows you to add various information to recorded
phrases.
Refer to 'Default values after formatting' on page 28 for
details on the information default values immediately after CF
card formatting.
Setting the delay time
(00s00f - 59s29f)
When pressing the PLAY button and commencing phrase
playback using signals from external control terminals, the
actual time until the phrase playback starts is configured as a
unit of seconds to frames.
* The frame display may vary depending on the MTC frame
rate settings.
Setting procedure
1. Turn the SELECT dial to select the phrase for
which you wish to change the setting.
2. Press the MODE button.
The MODE indicator light comes on.
3. Turn the SELECT dial to '1.1. DELAY TIME' then
press the SELECT dial.
4. In the delay time setting screen, turn the
SELECT dial to the desired delay time (frames).
Once you have selected the time, press the SELECT dial.
5. The confirmation screen is displayed. To
confirm the setting, press the ENTER button.
To cancel the setting, turn the SELECT dial to 'CANCEL'
then press the ENTER button.
Once the delay time setting is complete, the display
returns to the settings selection screen.
6. Press the MODE button.
The setting is completed and the display returns to the
default screen.
Pressing the MODE button in the delay time setting screen
displays a confirmation screen asking you whether or not to
cancel the setting. Please note that selecting 'YES' and
pressing the ENTER button cancels all settings made up to
that point.
Setting the time code offset
With the UDMR, you can adjust the individual playback
phrases and their timing with the time code.
Slave time code offset
When using the UDMR as a slave, you can start phrase
playback by designating a time from the received time code.
For example, if you want to begin the phrase playback when
the time code from an external device reaches '01h 00m 00s
00f', you can do so by setting the offset to '01h 00m 00s 00f'.
Master time code offset
When the UDMR is sending the MTC to an external device,
you can designate the time at which the external device starts
the playback.
For example, to begin the phrase playback on the external
MIDI device at '01h 00m 00s 00f' 10 seconds after its starts
playing on the UDMR, set the offset to '23h 59m 50s 00f'.
00h00m00s00f - 00h00m10s00f = 23h59m50s00f (wherein
00h00m00s00f is equivalent to 24h 00m 00s 00f).
