Rear panel
1. Power cord inlet
Inlet for inserting the accessory power cord.
2. Left CONTROL TERMINAL
External control equipment can be connected to these
control terminals to perform optional phrase playback
(1-6; COM terminals) and detection of BPM from audio
signals input via the AUDIO IN terminal.
3. Right

TERMINAL
External control equipment can be connected to these
terminals to perform optional phrase playback (7-10; COM
terminals), configure the BPM using the TAP TEMPO
function (7 TAP terminal), and switch to DMX Backup
Mode (8 CHANGE terminal).
4. DMX OUT/BACKUP terminal
Terminal for DMX signal output.
5. DMX IN terminal
Terminal for DMX signal input.
6. MIDI OUT/THRU terminal
The UDMR is capable of switching between MIDI OUT
and MIDI THRU via this terminal. The terminal is
configured to MIDI OUT under the factory default settings,
which means that the UDMR outputs MIDI phrases.
Upon changing this setting to MIDI THRU, MIDI
messages input to the MIDI IN terminal are output without
modification.
7. MIDI IN terminal
By connecting a MIDI player/sequencer via this terminal,
you can record MIDI phrases. By connecting a MIDI
controller, these MIDI phrases can then be played back.
8. LTC
IN
terminal
This terminal is used for inputting the time code (LTC) to
synchronize the UDMR with other devices.
9. AUDIO IN (L/R) terminal
Audio signals are input via this terminal to automatically
detect the BPM.
Display
1. Phrase
type
Displays the selected phrase type.
DMX: DMX phrases
MIDI: MIDI phrases
PTN: pattern phrases
SONG: song phrases
2. Phrase
name
Displays the name of the selected phrase.
3. Mode
Displays an animated graphic during playback.
4. Time
When the playback is stopped, the recording time (length)
is displayed.
During playback, the time elapsed from the start of the
phrase is displayed.
When a MIDI phrase has been selected, the time is
displayed in bars.
During playback of pattern phrases, both the actual
phrase number and the time elapsed from the start of the
actual phrase are displayed.
