Phrase playback (manual)
* Refer to 'Controlling the UDMR from external devices (control input terminals)' on page 50 for
details on phrase playback from the UDMR's control input terminals located on the left and right
control terminal blocks.
* Refer to 'Configuring the DMX playback trigger' on page 87 for details on DMX phrase
playback.
* Refer to 'MIDI phrase playback method' on page 64 for details on MIDI phrase playback.
1. Insert the memory card containing the recorded phrase into the memory card slot.
2. Turn the SELECT dial to the phrase number you wish to play back. To switch the memory
card slot A/B, press the SELECT dial.
3. Press the PLAY button to start the phrase playback.
The PLAY/REC indicator is illuminated green during phrase playback.
4. Press the STOP button to end the phrase playback.
By turning the SELECT dial during playback, you can select the next phrase to play back without
stopping the current phrase playback.
Pausing the phrase playback
Press the PLAY button during DMX phrase playback to pause the playback, upon which
the PLAY button starts flashing. Press the PLAY button once more to restart the playback.
* Playback of pattern phrases, song phrases and MIDI phrases cannot be paused.
* It is also not possible to pause during fades, repeat intervals or intervals.
Playback position search
By turning the SELECT dial while the playback is paused, you can move the current
phrase position forwards or backwards. The cursor position can be shifted by pressing
the SELECT dial.
Press the PLAY button to resume the playback from the new position.
Time display
Press the ENTER button during playback to change the time display to 'elapsed time' and
'time remaining'. The time remaining display is preceded by an asterisk (e.g.:
*01h02m35s).
