WARNING
CAUTION
Only use the power cord provided with the
UDMR and do not use the provided cord with
any other products.
Set up and operate the UDMR in a well-ventilated area.
Do not bend the power cord or place heavy
objects on it, as doing so may damage the
cord and cause it to short circuit or break,
leading to the risk of fire or electrical shock.
Always hold the power plug firmly when
connecting/disconnecting the power cord to/from the
UDMR or to/from an electrical outlet.
Regularly unplug the power plug and wipe it with a dry
cloth to remove any grime or dust. Also, remove the
power plug from the electrical outlet when not using the
UDMR for an extended period. Accumulation of grime or
dirt on the power plug may lead to poor insulation, which
can cause a fire.
Never insert foreign objects (such as
flammable items, coins or wires) or liquids
(such as water or beverages) into the UDMR.
The power cord and cables should be connected in an
uncomplicated manner. Particular care should be taken
to keep the power cord and cables out of reach of
children.
Do not stand on the UDMR or place heavy objects on it.
In the event of the following, immediately turn
off the power supply, unplug the UDMR and
take it to the store of purchase or the nearest
USHIO head office, branch or sales office
listed on the back of this manual for repairs.
When the power cord or plug is damaged
When the UDMR emits smoke or an
unusual smell
When a foreign object enters the UDMR
or a liquid is spilled on it
When the UDMR is wet by rain etc.
When an anomaly or malfunction occurs
Never attempt to plug in/unplug the power cord into/from
the UDMR or electrical outlet with wet hands.
Do not drop the UDMR or subject it to strong
impacts.
When moving the UDMR, first remove the power plug
from the electrical outlet and disconnect any external
devices.
Do not connect the UDMR to overloaded
electrical outlets. When using power strips in
particular, exceeding the power strip capacity
(watts/amps) may cause the UDMR to heat up
and melt the sheath of the power cord.
When cleaning the UDMR, first turn off the power supply
and remove the power plug from the electrical outlet
(P13).
Consult with the store where you purchased
the UDMR or the nearest USHIO head office,
branch or sales office listed on the back of this
manual before using the unit outside of Japan.
If there is a possibility of lightning, remove the power
plug from the electrical outlet at the earliest possible
opportunity.
Make sure that the power cord's earth
terminal is securely attached to prevent the
risk of electric shock (P13).
The accessory Euroblock connectors, adhesive rubber
pads and screws for attaching the card protector may
pose a choking hazard if swallowed so be sure to keep
them out of reach of children.
Do not place containers of water (such as
flower vases), insecticides, perfumes, alcohol,
nail polish, spray cans etc. on top of the
UDMR. In addition, any liquids spilled on the
surface of the UDMR should be wiped off
immediately using a soft, dry cloth.
