MMC & MSC transmit settings
(using UDMR as master)
This section describes how to configure the MMC or MSC
message transmission settings.
1. Press the MODE button.
The MODE indicator light comes on.
2. Turn the SELECT dial to '6.7 SEND MMC/MSC'
then press the SELECT dial.
3. Turn the SELECT dial to 'MMC' or 'MSC' then
press the SELECT dial.

MMC/MSC messages not transmitted.
MMC
MMC messages are transmitted in
response to UDMR operations. The
UDMR becomes the master of external
MIDI devices.
MSC
MSC messages are transmitted in
response to UDMR operations. The
UDMR becomes the master of external
MIDI devices.
4. The confirmation screen is displayed. Press the
ENTER button to execute the operation.
To cancel the operation, turn the SELECT dial to
'CANCEL' then press the ENTER button.
Once the setting is complete, the display returns to the
settings selection screen.
5. Press the MODE button.
The setting is completed and the display returns to the
default screen.
Pressing the MODE button mid-setting displays a confirmation
screen asking you whether or not to cancel the setting. Please
note that selecting 'YES' and pressing the ENTER button
returns you to the default screen and cancels all settings made
up to that point.
MMC & MSC receive settings
(using UDMR as slave)
This section describes how to configure the UDMR to operate
according to received MMC or MSC MIDI messages.
1. Press the MODE button.
The MODE indicator light comes on.
2. Turn the SELECT dial to '6.7 RECEIVE
MMC/MSC' then press the SELECT dial.
3. Use the SELECT dial to choose either 'MMC' or
'MSC' then press the SELECT dial.

The UDMR operates in accordance
with received MMC signals and
becomes an MMC slave to external
MIDI devices.
MSC
The UDMR operates in accordance
with received MSC signals. and
becomes an MSC slave to external
MIDI devices.
4. The confirmation screen is displayed. Press the
ENTER button to execute the operation.
To cancel the operation, turn the SELECT dial to
'CANCEL' then press the ENTER button.
Once the setting is complete, the display returns to the
